MT6752M 64 bit octa core SoC at the heart of the device is ticking at 1.5 GHz. All cores are based on ARM Cortex A53 architecture and are assisted by 2 GB RAM and Mali T760 GPU. Internal storage is 16 GB and can be further expanded using a MicroSD card slot. The display is 5 inches in size with 720 x 1280 pixels lined across it. Acer Jade S is only 7.78 mm thick and pretty light at 116 grams. Acer has managed to fit in 2300 mAh battery inside, which is again a minor improvement over Acer Liquid Jade. For photography, there is a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash support capable of recording 1080p full HD videos and a 5 MP front facing camera for detailed selfies. The new Acer handset will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, with no official word on version upgrade. Acer Liquid Jade S will first be available in Taiwan starting from December 18 for approx. $225. It is also expected to reach India sometime later.
