We have seen several Windows 10 ready smartphones from Microsoft in the last couple of months, and now, Blu will join the club and releases a couple of low cost Windows 10 ready LTE enabled smartphones – Blu Win HD LTE and Win JR LTE in India next month.
Blu Win HD LTE
As the name suggest, the 5 Inch display on this smartphone has 720p HD resolution. Under the hood, there is 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410, coupled with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable storage, which should be good enough to drive Windows 8.1 presently running on Win HD LTE and upcoming Windows 10 update.
You can shoot 1080p videos from the 8 MP rear shooter and selfies from the 2 MP front snapper. Design vise, Blu has given it a nice touch with hint of metal and vibrant colors. A 2500 mAh battery will keep things running for max 775 hours of standby time and 26 hours of talk time.
Blu Win Jr LTE
Blu Win Jr LTE is the junior sibling, with RAM and Internal storage axed to half, but again we surely expect the price tag to offset the compromise made, for all basic users. We expect this to be priced somewhere around 5K.
The handset includes a 4.5 Inch FWVGA display, 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 Chip, 512 MB RAM and just 4GB native storage. Other features include 5 MP rear camera capable of 720p HD video recoding, VGA front camera and 2000 mAh battery. Blu Win Jr LTE should be a competent device in low end market. Blu will bundle headphones, scratch gaurd and a matching protective case inside the box to further sweeten the pot. The handsets are expected to go official in next couple of months. Windows 10 update will start rolling sometime after September 2015.
