Micromax surprised us with an appearance at CES 2014. It introduced one of its kinds dual boot Lap tab which provides you the option of both Android 4.2 and Windows 8.1 operating system. you can use the device as a Laptop with a detachable Keyboard and also as a tablet. Xolo Win Windows Tablet

  Micromax wasn’t the only domestic player out there at CES. Xolo also cashed in on the CES hype and introduced its Xolo Win Windows 8 tablet for which it has partnered with AMD. The Tablet features a large sized 10.1 inch display and is powered by AMD A4 1200 1GHz Dual core processor with AMD Radeon HD 8180G Graphics. Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Sony finally launched the global variant of Sony Xperia Z1 Mini at CES 2014 and it did something different with it. The mini variant of flagship phone Xperia Z1 comes with a 4.3 inch display with HD resolution. Sony has managed to fit in all other high end hardware in to this compact device including the 20.7 MP camera and Snapdragon 800 beast. Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G

Huawei Ascend Mate launched last year had a major role in popularizing Huawei in Indian market. The phone received global recognition and was one of the few rare phones with 6 inch display back then and came with a copious 4050 mAh battery. At CES 2014, Huawei introduced the brushed up version of this phone, Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G with slightly enhanced 1.6 GHz Quad core processor and with some much needed updates to keep up with the modern scenario. Samsung Galaxy Pro Series

Samsung unveiled Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro at CES 2014 and specs for both of these tablets were leaked well ahead of their official launch. Samsung Galaxy Note Pro had a massive 12.2 inch display where as Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro was launched in three sizes- 8.4”, 10.1” and 12.2”. Samsung Galaxy Camera 2

Samsung also  presented android based Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, at CES . The Successor of Samsung Galaxy Camera, launched in 2012, sports a better Android version and bigger battery. The camera also feature faux leather affect at the front, which we saw in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 recently.Based on the spec sheet, the camera part of the Galaxy Camera 2 remains mostly unchanged, but there has been an upgrade to the internals. ZTE Grand S II

The Chinese Multinational has now presented its latest flagship smartphone, ZTE Grand S II, at CES 2014. The ZTE Grand S II comes with latest Snapdragon 800 processor along with smart voice Control feature. The Voice control feature, which is also demonstrated in the video below will recognize multiple voice and let you unlock your smartphone by voice commands. Panasonic launched a rugged Windows tablet at CES 2014, Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1, which is tough enough to hold under abusive outdoor conditions and survive shocks and falls from up to 5 feet. The tablet flaunts impressive and productive spec sheet. The rugged tablet is IP65 certified, which implies it is resistant to water and dust. Lenovo ThinkPad 8

Lenovo has launched its ThinkPad 8 tablet, one of the most powerful Windows 8 tablet in the world. The thin windows tablet has been designed for productivity and ships with Microsoft Office and various connectivity ports, targeting business users and student community. Another feature which differentiates this tablet from the other 8 inch tablets is the HDMI port. You can connect this tablet to a bigger monitor and also attach other peripherals using the USB 3.0 port. Asus presented wide array of devices at CES 2014 which included 3 smartphones with varying display size in Zenfone series, 2 Padfones, a Windows phone Tablet- Asus VivoTab Note 8 and ASUS Transformer Book Duet TD300. Zenfone series provided with a display size for every one with its Intel powered smartphones. The VivoTab Note 8 comes with a Wacom Digitizer to enhance productivity and Asus Transformer Duet TD300 is one of its kind dual bood operating system device which can support both Android and Windows operating system with a single chipset.

Corning Presented an Antimicrobial Gorilla glass which comes with incorporates ionic silver in the glass to prevent growth of bacteria, algae and other micro organisms. The glass will last for the lifetime of the device and will constantly fight the microbes accumulating on the surface of the device.Such innovation in Glass technology will help Corning compete with upcoming competition like the Sapphire glass.

HP Slate 21 Pro All in One PC

HP brought the successor of Slate 21 , all in one PC dubbed as HP Slate 21 Pro to CES 2014 . HP will market this device as an everyday working machine with use in education and hospitality sector. Powered by 1.9 GHz quad core Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, the Slate Pro will run on Android 4.3 jelly bean operating system and will come loaded wwith business friendly tools like Kingoffice software, Citrix XenMobile and Receiver support, and Skype / HP MyRoom for video conferencing. The All in one PC has been priced at $399 (~ 24,800 INR) and you will also get a keyboard and mouse out of the box. Besides these devices, CES was flooded with all kinds of consumer electronics gadgets and new chipsets which, most of which might not make it to Indian markets any time soon. Viewing Domestic players at CES 2014 was a sweet surprise at CES 2014, we expect more of Domestic manufacturers to showcase their products at global platforms in the year 2014.
