The information regarding the launch of the Honor 9 was confirmed by the company on Twitter when the company responded to a user’s query regarding the launch of the device in India.
Huawei Honor 9 Specifications
The Huawei Honor 9 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 skinned on top. The device features a 5.15 inch full HD LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display comes with a pixel density of ~428 PPI. In terms of performance, the Honor 9 is powered by an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor clubbed with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU and 4GB / 6GB RAM options. In terms of storage, the device comes with 64GB / 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. However, it is not clear which variant will be launched in India. Coming to the camera department, the device features a dual camera setup at the back. It comes with a 20MP + 12MP camera setup with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, 2x zoom and a dual LED flash. On the front, the device sports an 8Mp secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Huawei Honor 9 is powered by a 3,200mAh battery with Fast Charge support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, Infrared Port and USB Type C port.
