Over the weekend, something interesting took place in the tech media world as the first press render of the One Mini 2 alongside a list of possible specifications were leaked online by notorious Twitter user @evleaks. This press render appears to be consistent with the render that was leaked earlier confirming the single 13 MP rear camera placement instead of duo camera. Also, the latest leak suggests that the handset will arrive in a range of color variants such as Gold, White, Silver and Grey. Besides the render, even the specifications were leaked suggesting the phone will come featuring a 4.5 inch HD 720p display and that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz speed. The leak also reveals that there will be 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of native storage capacity that can be extended further using a micro SD card. The camera set on the HTC One Mini 2 is claimed to include a 13 MP primary camera at its back teamed with a 5 MP front-facing snapper for video calling and clicking seflies. Likewise other high-end phones, this one will also be fueled by Android 4.4.2 KitKat topped with Sense 6.0 UI. From these specs, it is clear that the One Mini 2 is different from the One M8 in many aspects. Notably, it features a smaller display and less capable hardware, but its exact specifications are still not revealed and we cannot conclude on anything until HTC announces the phone officially. Another significant difference is the lack of the duo camera that offers background defocus kind of feature to the One M8.
