The Hong Kong-based company Infinix had launched the Hot S3 smartphone last month in India. The company has now started rolling out Face unlock feature for the smartphone via OTA update. The update also brings Android security patch for March 2018, update to Google GMS Package, performance improvements, and system stability. The update is 531.1MB in size and is rolling out starting today.

How to enable Face Unlock on Hot S3

In order to enable Face Unlock feature, you need to go to Settings and click on Security & location. You will now see Face ID option there. After tapping on Face ID, you will be asked to set up a lock screen passcode. Click on Go to set up lock screen passcode and select one of the options from Pattern, PIN or Password. Now, enter your 4-digit PIN or password and click on Continue. After that click on Yes for Secure Start-up and in the face ID window, add Face ID. Once you are in Face ID window, click on ‘Add Face ID’ and scan your face within the circle. After completing the scan, it will show ‘Face ID successfully enrolled’.

Your Face ID or Face Unlock feature has been set up successfully. You can check it by locking your phone and after that press the power button. Now, bring your phone in front of your face, click on the power button and it will be unlocked.
