The Specification and the details are not yet reviled but it has been specified that a quad core handset is coming in Indian market at around Rs 9000. if you check other Ioceans mobile phone one can be pretty sure that the beast packs MediaTek MT6589 1.2 GHz quad core Cortex A7 CPU and PowerVR SGX544 GPU along with 1/2 GB RAM. RAM is unknown but like UMI X2 it might boast 2 GB RAM.
The expectation is that the Iocean will launch 5.3 and 5.7 inches dual core and quad core handsets where the dual core handsets will be priced between 7,000 to 8,500 and the quad core will come for a price tag of Rs. 9,000. There are already few Chinese companies like Mogu, Jiayu and UMI still in queue waiting to launch their handsets in India. This will be a challenge for companies like Micromax and Huawai and could be good time for the people who have tight budget while checking for the phones. This companies could really provide the number of choice with good specification. TIll today it is expected that these companies will be selling their handsets via their website and are not currently available in local stores or from other popular online sites. This is something that we wil be looking for that how much sale support this companies can acquire. So we will have to wait till 10th march, on which iocean will launch low cost dual core and quad core handsets in India , and see if these Chinese companies will come out with a cheaper and better version of quad core.
