Display and Processor
Moto E sports a 4.3 inch screen as compared to Xolo Q700s which flaunts a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display. Though the size of display in Xolo Q700s is more but it gets nullified by the lower resolution of 480 x 854 it offers. Moto E leads the line here with a resolution of 540 x 960 and a pixel density of 256 ppi. Moto E comes with cornerning Gorila glass 3 to protect its display. Moto E packs a Snapdragon 200 1.2 Ghz dual core processor based on cortex A7 architecture and 28 nm Process technology, while Xolo Q700s has a Mediatek MT6582M 1.3 Ghz Quad core processor under its hood. In general usage all the cores are not running but when it comes to intensive usage Moto E might lose out and run out of steam. Xolo Q700s will surely be on the winning side when it comes to running core intensive apps.
Camera and Internal Storage
Moto E has a 5 MP shooter while Xolo Q700s has an 8 MP clicker with BSI sensor. Moto E lacks an LED flash and a front cam which is a disappointment. On the other hand Xolo Q700s has a superb 8 MP camera with dual LED flash which clicks quality images even in low light conditions. Xolo Q700s is also capable of recording full HD videos with its camera. It will be difficult to click selfies and engage in video chat from Moto E, so we are more inclined to Xolo Q700S in this segment. Motorola has improved on by offering expandable micro SD support to Moto E which was not available for Moto G. Moto E has 4 GB internal storage expandable to 32 GB. Xolo Q700s also packs in the same space. At this price Motorola could not have offered more.
Battery and Other Features
Moto E has a 1980 mAh Li-ion cell while Xolo Q700s is powered by 1800 mAh Li-ion battery. Motorola has confirmed that Moto E will deliver a 24 hours backup on mixed usage which is a positive as a budget phones generally do not give a good backup. Xolo Q700S is expected to last for a similar duration with low to moderate usage. Moto E runs the latest Android 4.4 kitkat while Xolo Q700s works with the older Android 4.2 jellybean. Motorola has confirmed that there will be a guaranteed update to the next Android version. Moto G also will have optional multi-coloured grip shells. Moto E will comes with Moto Alert which will protect your handset from theft. Xolo Q700s features a metallic finish on its rear which looks pretty slick.
