As per Ars Technica, the Moto G 2014 is the first device to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update that measures 386 MB via an OTA update. Interestingly, this update has been rolled out to the Motorola smartphone before the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (both variants) that are based on stock Android. When it comes to the change-log, the Moto G will feature Material Design with fluid animations and new applications, system themes, colors and widgets. There will be a new notifications UI that will appear on the lock screen. Other features include Smart Lock, redesigned multitasking, Ambient Display, revamped Motorola Assist and new flashlight option in Quick settings among others. The users of other Moto devices, Nexus devices and LG G3 will be receiving the update in the coming days as there was a delay due to the battery draining bug that appears to be fixed now.
