Moto X4 Specifications

The Moto X4 is the eighth phone to be launched by Motorola this year. With this, Motorola is trying to fix the gap between Moto G series and Moto Z series smartphones. Starting with the build here, you get a Glass back on the Moto X4. The shiny back is accompanied by an equally shinier front with a fingerprint sensor below the display.

Sporting a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, the Moto X4 has a pixel density of ~424 PPI. In the camera department, it packs a dual camera setup comprising of a 12MP primary camera and an 8MP wide angle camera with dual LED flash. A front camera of 16MP is also given for selfies and video calling. Packing a Snapdragon 630 processor, clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, the Moto X4 comes in two variants with 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. Both variants will support microSD card up to 2TB. In terms of software, the phone comes with stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Motorola has added some of their own tweaks with their ‘Show Me’ software. You can say ‘Show me the weather’ to your phone and that will return you with the weather. You get Moto Key that saves your passwords securely and will enable you to unlock your PC using your Moto X4. Packing a 3,000 mAh battery, the Moto X4 comes with Water resistance. For connectivity options, it has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm earphone jack, Bluetooth, and WiFi.

Alexa Assistant on Moto X4

Although Alexa on the Moto X4 will not do ‘everything’ that it does on the Echo speaker, but it will do fairly well for a voice assistant. The Moto X4 will also come with Google Assistant installed.

Pricing and Availability

Following its launch in Berlin, the Moto X4 will be available in Europe initially. It is priced at €399 which roughly translates to Rs. 30,300. Although Indian availability of the Moto X4 is not known yet, we expect the device to be introduced here soon. https://youtu.be/qJBdN4sOlYA
