Dual Screen Accessory
LG has introduced a new Dual Screen accessory with the V50 ThinQ. It is a secondary 6.2-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) OLED display that can be added to the phone. It will offer better gaming and multitasking experience. The secondary display connects via Pogo Pin with the phone and it uses the phone’s power to run. Moreover, this Dual Screen can also be used as a dedicated controller in some select games. The screen can be tilted to 104 and 180 degrees.
LG V50 ThinQ Specifications
The LG V50 ThinQ sports a 6.4-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision OLED Display. Under the hood, it gets Snapdragon 855 chipset with X50 5G Modem. It packs 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage that is expandable up to 2TB. The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie. In terms of camera, it sports triple rear cameras with a 12MP primary camera with f/1.5 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, a 16MP super wide camera with f/1.9 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. It sports an 8MP primary front camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.22μm pixel size and a 5MP secondary front camera with f/2.2 aperture. It features a back mounted fingerprint sensor and is water and dust resistant with an IP68 rating. It also has MIL-STD 810G certification. In terms of audio, it has supports 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and has a Boombox Speaker with stereo output. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C 2.0. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Price, availability
The LG V50 ThinQ price has not yet announced. The smartphone will come in Astro Black color and it will be made available later this year. LG has partnered with major mobile network operators in the US, South Korea, Australia, and some European countries.
