HMD Global launched the Nokia 8 back in 2017 as it’s first flagship smartphone. Despite being a flagship phone, it had flaws like the lack of a Pro mode in its camera that later arrived with the Nokia 8 Sirocco and the Nokia 7 Plus. However, the company has now confirmed that the Pro Camera mode is now available to all Nokia 8 handsets as well.

Nokia 8 Pro Camera Mode features

Earlier this month, the company’s CPO Juho Sarvikas has explained via Twitter the reason why HMD Global took so much time to roll out the Pro Mode feature update. But now, the Nokia 8 is finally receiving the much-awaited pro mode features on its dual camera setup.

— Juho Sarvikas (@sarvikas) May 31, 2018 The Pro Mode on Nokia 8 camera brings new features such as manual controls over white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed, and exposure. As seen in the video, the Pro Camera mode looks similar to Nokia camera phones from past years with the same interface for controls. The new pro mode is much like Nokia’s Lumia smartphones which were known for their camera quality.

If we talk about Nokia 8 Camera, it comes with two cameras featuring Carl Zeiss optics and one is a 13MP RGB sensor and another 13MP monochrome sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. It has features like Phase and Laser detection autofocus, OlS, dual tone dual LED flash, 1.12µm pixel size, and 4K video recording support.
