Popular Tipster Evan Blass leaked the first press render of the Nokia 9 on his Twitter account. The image shows the new Nokia 9 with a flat display that has thin-bezels without any curved edges. The Nokia 9’s display also doesn’t have any type of notch on top of it. The handset comes with a metal frame and glass panels on the front and back. The Nokia 9 render also reveals its Penta-lens camera setup that was leaked a long time ago. The Penta camera setup is expected to sport five Zeiss-branded sensors, an LED flash, and a proximity-detecting dual sensor, all in a circular form. The leaked press render also hints at an in-display fingerprint sensor on the smartphone. Further, the Nokia 9 has Android One branding at the back so it will come with stock Android 9.0 Pie and will be upgradable to Android Q as well. If we talk about other specs, the previous rumors suggested that Nokia 9 would come with a 5.9-inch QHD OLED display, Snapdragon 845 chipset with up to 8GB RAM, IP68 rating for water resistance, Nokia OZO Audio and a 4150mAh battery with wireless charging support. HMD has recently announced that the Nokia 9 production is delayed due to production challenges by Foxconn. The company says that the camera quality has not reached the necessary level due to the complex camera unit. The tipster also suggests that the Nokia 9 is currently under development with the codename “Beholder”. We expect it to be launched at MWC 2019 event in February.
