Nokia introduced 3 new members in its Android “X” family at MWC 2014 and the biggest and most awaited Nokia XL (Hands on Review) is now coming to India on 1st May 2013.
Nokia XL (Quick Review) features a 5 inch display with 480 x 800 pixels spread across it. The software is Nokia X platform 1.0 UI with Windows phone like interface and Android 4.1 jelly bean AOSP as the base. The moderate chipset houses a 1 GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play processor based on dated Cortex A5 based cores and aided with Adreno 203 GPU. RAM is 768 MB, which is comparatively more than what you get in Nokia X. The internal storage is 4GB and can be extended to 32 GB using MicroSD support. Imaging hardware includes, 5 MP rear shooter coupled with 2 MP front camera for video calling and selfies. LED flash is also present for low light photography. In line with what is expected of Nokia devices, the 2000 mAh battery inside will provide with 720 hours of standby time and 13 hours of standby time on 3G. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, WiFi, 3G and GPS with AGPS support. Since in India, most users prefer large displays, Nokia XL has better selling prospects in India.
