Earlier this week, OnePlus had released the Android Oreo update for the OnePlus 5T with OxygenOS Open Beta 1. However, the update was pulled out shortly due to a bug. Now, the company has issued a fix for the bug and the rollout has resumed, a moderator at the company’s official forums has made this announcement. The OnePlus moderator has also revealed that the bug in question was causing third-party camera apps to capture green pictures with the front camera. After the announcement, several users downloaded the update which weighs in at around 35MB. To recall, shortly after announcing the open beta of OxygenOS 5.0 with Android Oreo for the OnePlus 5T, the company had withdrawn it earlier this week. Since it was a beta update, so bugs were expected, however, the update was revoked because of a bug that was spotted early. It halted the global rollout of Android Oreo for the OnePlus 5T. It is to be noted here that users of OnePlus 3 and 3T have already got the update to OxygenOS 5.0.1 with Oreo and on OnePlus 5 OxygenOS 5.0 is rolling out. But the OnePlus 5T was yet to get that update, however, it is now available for the OxygenOS 5.0.1 and the device is getting the Android Oreo update finally. With the Android 8.0 Oreo update, the OnePlus 5T will get features such as new design for Quick Settings, New design for Lift up display, Optimizations for Battery Saver, Picture-in-Picture mode, Auto-Fill and much more. The update also comes with smart text selection, which allows users to directly dial a phone number by just selecting it along with copying the text.
