The new Redmi Note 6 Pro is going on sale starting today via Flipkart, Mi.com. So, will you buy this new phone? We tell you some reasons to buy it and some not to buy.
Reasons to buy
Big Notch Display
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a big upgrade in terms of display. The new model sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass panel with gorilla glass protection. It sports a 19:9 aspect ratio which means there is a big notch on the top. The display looks good also offers great visibility and colors.
Dual Front Camera
The Redmi Note 5 Pro has only dual rear cameras but with Redmi Note 6 Pro, the company adopted dual front camera setup as well. There is a 20MP+2MP front camera with AI portrait mode that offers great selfies. The rear camera is also improved in terms of aperture and pixel size. The front camera also supports AI face unlock as well.

Big Battery
The Redmi Note 6 Pro sports the same 4,000mAh battery as the one on Redmi Note 5 Pro. But, still, it is a plus point. The big battery performs really well and can offer up to two days juice on moderate usage. It also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3 fast charging.
Others
If we talk about some other reasons to buy, the phone sports P2I nano-coating to protect it from water splashes and dust. Moreover, the new Redmi Note 6 Pro is running the latest MIUI 10 that has some cool features. The MIUI 10, however, also released for Redmi Note 5 Pro as well.
Reasons not to buy
Old Hardware
The Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by the same old Snapdragon 636 chipset that also powers the previous model. We were expected an upgraded hardware in this one considering other brands are offering better hardware at this price point. But Xiaomi disappoints users here by offering the same old hardware.
Connectivity
This is another drawback in the new Xiaomi phone that it still uses a micro USB port. In this price segment, companies have started offering USB type C port. Another issue in connectivity is, it sports hybrid SIM card slot so you can either use two SIM cards or one SIM and one micro SD card. Other connectivity options are available though.
