Samsung Galaxy A21s price in India at Rs. 16,499 for the 4GB+64GB version and the 6GB+128GB version costs Rs. 18,499. It will be available via retail stores, Samsung.com, and other leading online portals soon. So, should you buy this new mid-range phone? Let’s find out the reasons why it is not worth buying because you can get even better features at this price.

Reasons Not to Buy Galaxy A21s

Plastic Back Design

The Galaxy A21s comes with a plastic back panel that has holographic 3D design, the company calls it Glastic design. It comes in Black, White, and Blue colors and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

At this price, mostly mid-range phones come with a glass sandwich design. For instance, POCO X2, Realme X2, and realme 6 Pro are the phones that come with Gorilla Glass 5 back panel. Also, read | Realme 6 Pro Vs POCO X2: Who is the new king of Rs. 20,000 segment?

HD+ Display

Another reason, you should not go for this phone is its HD+ display. At this price, you can easily get an FHD+ display. It comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1600 pixels) Infinity-O display.

There are many smartphones that come with FHD+ screen and even with more refresh rate, just like POCO X2, which has 120Hz FHD+ display at an almost similar price.

48MP Camera

The Galaxy A21s comes with a 48MP quad-camera setup at the back that also has an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro camera.

We are not going into detailed camera reviews here, but at this same price, you get 64MP quad-camera setup in many smartphones. And, we all know that a 64MP camera offers more detailed photos. Once again, POCO X2 comes with a 64MP camera. Moreover, that phone also has a 20MP+2MP dual front camera, in comparison to the 13MP front camera on Galaxy A21s. Hardware

The phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 processor, which is an 8nm process based chipset and has two quad cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM. The 64GB storage is expandable up to 512GB. We can’t say much about this new chipset as we haven’t used it yet. However, looking at its specs, it will take on Snapdragon 730 and 730G. So which is again not something to flaunt, as Snapdragon 730 phones in India are already coming at this price and even better specs.

Batter & Fast Charging

The Galaxy A21s packs a 5,000mAh battery. It comes with 15W fast charging support and the same fast charger in the box. Most of the other phones come with this size of the battery in this price range, for example- Redmi Note 9 Pro and that has a faster charging capacity (18W) too. Samsung’s own Galaxy M31 comes with an even bigger 6,000mAh battery. Also, read | Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Galaxy M31: Which one to buy? Wrapping Up

These were a few reasons not to buy Galaxy A21s. Looking at the specs and features of the latest Galaxy A21s, it doesn’t seem worth buying for Rs. 16,499. Its features like a plastic body, HD+ display, mediocre camera specs aren’t good enough to fit it into the mid-range segment in India, which is already very crowded with some very amazing phones.
