The latest update to the Inbox by Gmail Android app comes today as a new feature now reminds you to follow up on e-mails. Moreover, you will also be reminded to reply to e-mails you might have forgotten about. Let us take a closer look at this new feature in Inbox.
Follow-Up Reminders
Sometimes during an e-mail conversation one tends to miss a beat, especially if either of the parties are getting a lot of mails. While some people intentionally do not reply to e-mails, there are others who might forget due to the hectic pace of the work, or because the mails are buried under a pile of mails. With this new update to Inbox by Gmail, if you have not received replies on a mail you would be notified with a reminder like: “Sent 4 days ago. Follow up?” This is a really cool feature from Inbox by Gmail.
Reply Reminders
Similar to follow-up reminders, but reverse. Sometimes your inbox might be flooded with e-mails and you might miss replying on an older e-mail. Inbox by Gmail will now remind you if you would like to send a reply to a mail from a few days ago.
How to Enable These Reminders on Inbox by Gmail
In order to enable these reminders make sure that your app is updated to the latest version of. Go to settings, you would find a new section there ‘Assists’. Tap on ‘Replies and Follow-Ups’ Over there you would see two options – ‘Suggest emails to reply to’ and ‘Suggest emails to follow up on’ You can enable or disable the two features individually from there.
