While testing the Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 2016 for their camera, I took various pictures using the phone, under different lighting conditions and using different modes on the phone. The photos overall turned out to be great and I simply loved the camera quality in all the different lighting conditions.
Front Camera Samples
The front camera of the smartphone is a 5-megapixel shooter, yet produces great images, even in indoor lighting conditions. We took pictures indoors and outdoors, in-flow of the light and against the light. All those pictures are attached below in this gallery for you to have a look.
Rear Camera Samples
The rear camera for the Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 is a 13-megapixel shooter that captures images really quickly and with great colors all the time. The testing for this camera involved taking pictures of our regular objects in various lighting conditions and then of the outdoor scenario near the office.
Artificial Light
In artificial lighting, the camera of the Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 2016 produced some great shots, just as you can see with the images below. The images that we took did not have noise in them, as you would have expected from a smartphone. This is possible because of the f/1.9 wide aperture.
Natural Light
In natural light, almost all smartphone cameras perform just as you would expect, and these two Samsung phones were not an exception. They performed well in outdoor conditions, with the colors looking really bright and sharp, even when viewed on a computer monitor.
Low Light
The low light scenario on the Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 2016 is great as well. When taking pictures is low light, the pictures turned out to be much brighter than what I could see with my naked eye. But in extremely Low Lighting conditions, there was substantial noise in the image, just as you can see in the images below.
Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 2016 Camera Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 2016 definitely have a great camera, no doubt. The camera hardware is great, and when that is combined with the Samsung Camera Software, it produces some great results. The images taken with these phones were extremely good and did not disappoint in any way other than in extreme low lighting conditions. I would personally take this phone for photography when I need to go out for such a trip.
