4.5 Inch IPS LCD display has 854 x 480 pixels spread across it, amounting to 218 pixels per inches. Processor employed is Qualcomm’s Budget quad core star, 1.2 GHz quad Core Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 with LTE support, aided with 1 GB RAM and Adreno 305. 4 GB internal storage with only 1.7 GB left to spare seems scarce by today’s standard. MicroSD slot is present for secondary storage up to 32 GB. The 5 MP rear camera can record full HD videos while the front VGA snapper will handle the basic video calling.

Handset is only 8.5 mm thick and weighs a moderate 144 grams. The 2330 mAh battery inside is supposed to last for about 12 hours of talk time and 29 days of standby time. Connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and aGPS. Another interesting feature is Dual SIM management technology, which keeps both SIM active all the time, even while taking calls. The Xperia E3 will help Sony compete in the budget Android segment, if priced right. The 4 GB internal storage seems slightly mismatched, other stuff could be more acceptable for the right price. The smartphone will go on sale starting this autumn.
