The new Vivo phone is similar to the Meizu Zero that was announced yesterday. However, unlike the ceramic back on the Meizu phone, the Vivo APEX 2019 comes with a Super Unibody curved glass design and doesn’t have any ports or button on the body. It comes in White, Gray and Black colors. The company has replaced physical buttons with pressure-sensitive power and volume buttons. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB port. It relies on Bluetooth wireless audio and for charging and data transfer it has a magnetic port that connects to the bottom part of the back cover. Vivo’s full-screen sound technology uses the screen as a speaker and earpiece.

If we talk about specs, it is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and packs 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. It also has support for 5G via eSIM and uses Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem. It comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display. It also has full-display fingerprint technology that allows users to unlock the phone by touching almost anywhere in the display. For imaging, it has dual rear cameras with a 12MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary sensor paired with a LED flash. Since it doesn’t have any notch or buttons, the placement of the selfie camera is questioned. Vivo also hasn’t said anything about the front camera. This is just a concept phone and it is likely to be introduced as the next Vivo NEX smartphone sometime later. Before that, it will also be showcased at the MWC 2019 event next month in Barcelona.
