Vivo had introduced its flagship V9 smartphone last month in India and now it has silently launched a lighter and cheaper version, the Vivo V9 Youth. Similar to the V9, the new V9 Youth comes with a 6.3-inch FullView display with a notch. The highlight of the smartphone is its 16MP selfie camera with AI integration and dual cameras at the back.
Vivo V9 Youth Specifications
The Vivo V9 Youth sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) 19:9 IPS notch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes only in 4GB RAM+32GB variant and storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD. The Dual SIM phone also sports a dedicated slot for microSD card and it runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
In the camera department, it packs a dual rear camera similar to the Vivo V9, however, it sports a 16MP primary camera with LED flash along with a secondary 2MP camera, unlike V9 that has 5MP secondary camera. It has a 16MP front-facing camera with soft LED flash and facial recognition feature. Dimensions wise, it measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and weighs 150 grams. It sports a back mounted Fingerprint sensor and comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS as connectivity options. It is powered by a 3,260mAh battery.
