What separates the Mi Max Prime from the Mi Max is the processor, RAM and the inbuilt storage. Mi Max Prime sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SOC whereas Mi Max sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SOC. Mi Max comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage whereas Mi Max Prime comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The main USP of the Mi Max is the large 6.44 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 with a pixel density of 342 ppi and the same is present even in the Mi Max Prime. Much like its predecessor, it comes with hybrid SIM tray, supports 4G LTE with VoLTE enabled, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. The phone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SOC, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The dimensions of the phone are 173.1×88.3×7.5mm and it weighs 203 grams. The sensors which come included are the ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor and IR blaster. The battery capacity is supposed to be 4850 mAh which is more than enough to power up this 6.44 inch beast. On the camera front we have a 16 MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. On the front we have a 5 MP front camera with 85 degree wide angle lens.
