The Mi Max 2 features a 6.44 inch full HD IPS LCD display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The full metal unibody along with delicate antenna lines makes the phone look very refined. It runs MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Xiaomi is working on the MIUI 9 update at the moment, which should be released in the coming weeks. Coming to the hardware, the new Mi Max 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC. It is a mid-level chipset with eight Cortex A53 CPUs running at up to 2.0 GHz. This is coupled with 4GB RAM along with 64GB inbuilt storage. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is priced at Rs. 16,999. It comes only in one variant – 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The phone will be available in both online and offline channels. As part of its 3rd anniversary, the Mi Max 2 will be available starting July 20th on Mi.com.
