The leaks reported by XDA Developers have unveiled the key specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. Starting right from the display to the cameras, processor, and even the battery capacity are out now. Previous renders also suggested a design change which may shift the phone’s camera from its chin to a notch at the top.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S specifications
The leaks that are circulating the internet are claimed to be the firmware files of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. The files contain all the key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship. Starting with the display, it is tipped to be a Full HD+ resolution panel with 18:9 aspect ratio, based on exclusive wallpapers in the firmware files. With the device codenamed ‘Polaris’, the leaked files also confirm the presence of a Sony IMX363 camera sensor on the phone. While this was already expected, the phone is also tipped to come with AI backed cameras for enhanced functionality like scene recognition. Coming to the hardware, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will reportedly sport the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, which is the current flagship processor from Qualcomm. This also opens the gates of improved AI and imaging experience on the device. Also, the leaked files confirm Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, which indicates at support for Project Treble, which is good. Meanwhile, the leaks don’t just end there. The battery capacity of the Mi Mix 2 is also disclosed. The device is tipped to pack a 3,400 mAh battery, which should give it a full day of moderate usage.
