Xiaomi today teased that it will launch the 7A in India soon. Maybe they could launch it along with the Redmi K20 series in July. The company also said that it had sold over total 23.6 million units of Redmi 4A, 5A and 6A till April 2019 which is greater than Australia’s population. Interestingly, the Redmi 5A and 6A had ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ tag and now the 7A comes as ‘Smart Desh Ka Smartphone’.

The company’s latest budget smartphone comes with features like a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, Snapdragon 439 processor, a 13MP rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 4000mAh battery. Redmi 7A Specifications

Design and Display

If we talk about full specs, the new Xiaomi Redmi 7A comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 18:9 display. Similar to other Redmi phones, it also comes a splash-resistant P2i coating on a polycarbonate body. Dimensions are 146.30×70.41×9.55mm and weight is 150g. It comes in Black and Blue colors.

Processor

It is powered by a new Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 processor with Adreno 505 GPU and up to 3GB RAM. It packs up to 32GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB with microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10.

Cameras

It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, and AI scene detection. There is a 5MP front camera with support for AI face unlock and beautify features.

Battery and Connectivity

It packs 4000mAh battery and also has support for 10W charging compared to 5W in the predecessor. It has dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS.

Other Features

Apart from above-mentioned specs, it has some amazing features for kids and elderly. There is a Family Guardian app which limits your kid’s access to certain websites, restricts their use of the phone, location reminder and more. It also has a minimalist mode for elders with large icons, 20% more call volume and more. It also has wireless FM Radio.

Price in India

The Redmi 7A is the successor to last year’s Redmi 6A. So, it might come to India at similar pricing. The price in China will be announced on May 28 along with the Redmi K20. However, we can expect that it will be launched in India at around Rs. 7,000.
