Xiaomi’s official partner in Philippines Lazada had listed the phone with complete specs, however the listing was removed later which was covered by a Philippine website. The pictures reveal that the Redmi Go will feature plastic build without a fingerprint sensor. It will have capacitive touch buttons on the instead of on-screen buttons.
Xiaomi Redmi Go Specifications
As per the specs sheet, the Redmi Go will sport a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with an old 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it will be powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB.
The Dual SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS for connectivity. It will pack a 3000mAh battery. Dimensions of the phone are 140.4x 70.1 x 8.35mm and it weighs just 137g. In terms of camera, it will sport an 8MP single rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 1.12μm pixel size. It will have a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size. Being the Android Go phone, it will run Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition.
India launch and expected price
The Redmi Go should launch in Philippines by end of this month. Last week there were reports that Xiaomi will launch three Redmi phones in India by the end of the Q1 2019. This means by March we may see Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Go in India. If we talk about Redmi Go price in India, it should be between Rs. 3000 and Rs. 4,000.
