The MIUI 6.3.5 update that is rolling out to the Redmi Note 4G is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Many users of the handset who have received the update have taken on to the official MIUI forums revealing their excitement. For now, the vendor is yet to release the official changelog of the new update.

A report by TheNextDigit claims that the MIUI 6.3.5 update for the Redmi Note 4G is available for download and that it measures 577 MB. It is said that this update will bring fixes for the camera lag and music playback alongside notable performance enhancements. The entry level Redmi 1S and the original Redmi Note are slated to receive the MIUI 6 update sometime in early March. We can expect Xiaomi to roll out an Android 5.0 Lollipop based update to its offerings available in the market in the coming months.

In the meantime, it appears like the Redmi Note 4G is not selling as expected by the Chinese firm. Following the Flipkart exclusive flash sale, Xiaomi has made the handset available on open sale for the interested buyers to grab hold of it without the pre-registration process. The first such sale took place on Republic Day. The device can also be purchased offline from the Airtel exclusive stores.
