Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Price in India
As per a Twitter user, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Y2 in two variants – 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM, and the top variant with 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM. As per the tipster, the 3GB version is likely to cost Rs. 9,999 and the 4GB variant will be priced at Rs. 11,999. The tipster also claims that the phones will be available in three color options – dark grey, gold, and rose gold.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will sport a 5.99-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone will run on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Memory wise, the device will come with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB + 64GB internal storage options. Coming to the camera, the Redmi Y2 will feature a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF and a 5MP secondary camera with an LED flash. On the front, the selfie-centric phone will sport a 16MP camera with an LED flash. Connectivity options on the device will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, GPS and a USB port. The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will be powered by a 3,080mAh battery. Coming back to the pricing, Rs. 9,999 starting price for Redmi Y2 seems correct by seeing Redmi S2 price in China and pricing of Redmi Y1. However, take the leaked price with a pinch of salt until the official pricing is revealed on June 7.
