Xiaomi CEO Lin Bin has showcased its 100W Super Charge technology on a Weibo post. The tech was compared with OPPO’s Super VOOC Flash Charge technology. While OPPO’s 50W charger charged a 3,700mAh battery to 65% in 17 minutes, Xiaomi’s 100W charger fully charged a 4,000mAh battery during the same time. This is probably a new record in fast charging technology. If we talk about other companies’ fast charging technology, Huawei currently offers the highest 55W SuperCharge technology with its foldable Mate X smartphone. Following that, there is OPPO‘s 50W Super VOOC Flash Charge and after that Honor has its 40W charging tech. OnePlus has also introduced its 30W Warp Charge 30 technology with McLaren Edition 6T. Then there is Google’s Pixel 3 series that support 18W charging while Samsung and Apple’s latest flagships support 15W fast charging technology. So, Xiaomi’s latest Super Charge fast charging technology really sets a new benchmark. Xiaomi’s 100W super charge fast charging tech is expected to become available for smartphones very soon. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi head Lu Weibing has confirmed that the Super Charge fast charging technology will go into mass production in the coming weeks.
