Xiaomi India yesterday announced a Facebook contest to promote Xiaomi Mi3 as the best possible phone under 8,000 INR and will distribute 10 Mi phones to lucky winners. Learning from its past mistake, Xiaomi will bring substantial amount of units in India, but the stock is still expected to end in seconds.
The budget Android challenger is powered by 1.6 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 MSM8228 SoC aided by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable storage. Imaging hardware includes 8 MP rear camera capable of recording full HD videos and a 1.3 MP front shooter for basic video calling. Other features include Dual SIM functionality, 2000 mAh battery, 32 GB MicroSD support, HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The specifications indeed pledge great value for money, like all Xiaomi products and also explain the huge demand for Redmi 1S in India.
