The second Mi Home stores will be located in 1 MG – Lido Mall that is set to open on 22 July and the third one at Orion Mall which will be opened on 29 July. Both stores are to open in Bengaluru. The announcement of these stores was made at the launch event of Mi Max 2.

What are Mi Home Stores?

The Mi Home stores are outlets where you can experience and buy all Xiaomi products available in India. Currently, the only Mi Home store in India is located at Phoenix Market City Mall, Bengaluru. This store made a revenue of Rs. 5 crores in the first 12 hours of its operations after its inauguration. Mi Home stores offer smartphones, fitness bands, headphones, power banks and other Xiaomi accessories available in India, under the Mi Ecosystem. Also, as per an earlier statement by VP and MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar, we may soon see Mi stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The company is reported to be aiming at opening 100 Mi Home stores across India in the coming two years.

Xiaomi Preferred Stores

Apart from the Mi Home stores, Xiaomi is rapidly expanding its offline presence. We can see Xiaomi ‘Preferred Stores’ rapidly increasing across the country. The Chinese smartphone maker earlier made the Redmi 3S Plus an Offline exclusive. The Indian market is now witnessing a balance between online and offline retail. Earlier we saw smartphones being available as ‘Online Exclusives’. Now, we can see brands aiming to increase their offline presence too. Currently, Vivo, Oppo and Samsung have a good presence in the offline market and enjoy the majority share in the offline market.
