The Xolo Q700i comes with a 4.5 Inch IPS LCD OGS Display with qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels which amounts to 245 pixels per inches. The display is same as Xolo Q700 and no improvements have been made in this area at least on paper. On the software front this phone comes with Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system. This phone is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core processor based on Cortex A7 architecture and assisted by PowerVR SGX544 GPU. Weather this processor is improved MT6589 or the same MT6589 W-M SoC has not been specified yet. The RAM capacity is 1 GB similar to Xolo Q700 and the internal storage also remains same at 4 GB and can be further increased to 32 GB using MicroSD card. The camera specifications have been upgraded in this phone and are similar to those of Xolo Q800. The primary camera comes with an 8MP BSI sensor and is capable of recording 720p HD video. LED flash is also present for low light photography. Front camera has also been upgraded from VGA to 2 MP. The battery backup is also same at 2400 mAh and this gave us 1 day of moderate usage on XOLO Q700. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, aGPS and 3.5mm audio jack. Over all Xolo has provided with a better primary camera and possibly a slightly improved quad core processor. If you are an average user and don’t engage in much gaming, the extra 3,500 INR won’t give you good value for money on this phone. You can also consider other options like XOLO Q800, Micromax Canvas HD and Intex Aqua i5. Xolo Q700i is available on Flipkart for Rs. 11,999.
